FAQ

Common questions

How do I know my donation reaches the children?

Every sponsor receives receipts for every payment. Sponsorships include regular photos, updates, and the option to communicate with your sponsored child. We also keep a public ledger of major projects and their completion status.

Is Mercy Children a registered non-profit?

Yes — we're registered under the Trustees Incorporation Act 1962 of Malawi, and we work in partnership with the Social Welfare Office in Child Welfare Services.

Can I visit the centre?

Absolutely! We love visitors. Please contact us in advance so we can arrange a proper welcome and ensure we're not in the middle of naptime or meal service when you arrive.

What's the minimum donation?

There isn't one. $5 buys a day's food for a child. $14 covers a term's primary school fees. $270 provides goats for 10 widows. Every amount matters.

How do I cancel a recurring donation?

Email us at info@mercychildren.org anytime. No hassle, no guilt trip.
