In our community, we found a young and beautiful little girl. Her name is Glory Tuwaya, and she is two years old.
Glory lives alone with her mother โ a brave young woman whose own story began painfully. She was still in secondary school when she became pregnant. The father of her child denied her, and she was forced to drop out of school to keep her baby.
The pregnancy brought her cruel words from her community. People insulted her. They told her to end the pregnancy. But she refused, and she carried Glory to term.
After Glory was born, the insults didn’t stop. People kept pointing at her. No one offered her a way back to school. No one gave her the small amount of capital she needed to start a business so she could feed her child.
Starting over, alone
Eventually Glory’s mother moved away from her parents’ home โ the insults were too constant, too harsh. She found piece-work in town and rented a small shelter. But what she earns barely covers the rent. It does not cover food. It does not cover clothes. It does not cover the hundred small things a two-year-old needs.
Glory deserves the same chance every child gets
We’re asking for sponsors to step in and help this young mother give her daughter a childhood โ with proper meals, clothes, and one day, education.
