Tadala is 17 years old. She was married young, became a mother, and then her husband walked away — leaving her with a child to raise alone.
When we approached her about returning to school, she said yes immediately. She didn’t hesitate. And now? She’s excelling.
But Tadala lives in a village with no secondary school. To get to class, she rides a bicycle for 90 minutes each way — rain or shine, through hills and dirt tracks.
Her bike is old. It keeps breaking down. Every time it does, she misses classes. And each missed class chips away at the future she’s fighting so hard to build.
