Four months in and we have real, visible progress on the Children’s Centre building. Let me walk you through it.

The Covid-19 pandemic has slowed us down — donations are tight for everyone right now — but we are still building. Every week there’s more to show.

What this building will do

• Accommodate 150 children who cannot afford private schools
• Provide classrooms, a kitchen, toilets, and a store room
• Save us the rent we’ve been paying for 9 years — freeing up that money to feed the children

Building dimensions

Main room: 10m × 12m. Sub-room: 4m × 6m.

Budget for the next level (walls)

• 700 cement bricks × MWK 220 = MWK 154,000
• Plus mortar, reinforcement, and labour
