We don’t take for granted the beautiful new building we now have for our children. God bless every person who made it possible.

But we’ve hit a new challenge — one we didn’t fully anticipate.

The distance problem

Our centre can hold 250 children. But we’re nowhere near full. Why? Because many families live far away, and bringing a small child on foot is a serious undertaking.

• Guardians walk an average of 45 minutes to drop children off
• Most can’t do this every day — so children miss whole weeks of class
• We have empty desks and hungry children who aren’t making it to them

The solution: a mini-van

A second-hand mini-van would let us run a door-by-door pick-up route every morning, and a drop-off route every afternoon. No more missed weeks. No more empty desks.
